IMail v10.02

Released November 17, 2008

Requirements:

Ipswitch has designed its own Digital Rights Management tool to protect licensing and to secure delivery for all Messaging software. It will require a new method of activation of all users, upgrading from a version earlier than IMail v10.

You must have a current serial number for your specific version of IMail v10. If you do not have your IMail v10 serial number or are not currently running IMail v10, please login to myIpswitch.com to download IMail v10.02.

Summary:

This version includes the following enhancements:

Ipswitch has implemented a new premium antispam engine from Commtouch to replace Mail-Filters StarEngineService. Commtouch Advanced Security Daemon (a.k.a. ctasd™) is a plug-and-play email-borne spam and malware outbreak detection daemon that combines your current core messaging network infrastructure with advanced detection and classification capabilities. The daemon adds a layer of e-mail filtering to your mail delivery system in order to provide real-time classification, already in the first minutes after a new outbreak is launched.

Commtouch Ctasd™ Highlights

  • Spam catch rate over 97%
  • Malware outbreak detection at zero hour
  • High performance(~200 msgs/sec)
  • Persistent cache for fast operation after restart

Upgrading will handle both un-installation of your StarEngineservice, and installation of Commtouch's ctasd™.

New Commtouch's Ctasd™ Service Settings will replace the current Premium Antispam settings under Services.
